Empty industrial gas cylinders are sourced by gas family, condition and specification
An empty industrial gas cylinder is the physical vessel, supplied without an included gas-filling service. Jay Consultant trades this hardware in five intended-gas families, with new and used condition choices. Buyer selection starts with the required service and an exact specification rather than a generic search term.

New and used cylinders may differ in origin, markings, records and physical condition. Require a comparable description for any offer before treating different prices as alternatives.
| Purchasing dimension | New cylinder | Used cylinder |
|---|---|---|
| Condition | New item offered against a defined manufacturer/model specification | Previously owned item evaluated for its actual condition |
| Manufacturing identity | Model, producer and traceable markings requested | Original markings and identification checked per item |
| Documents | Applicable BIS/PESO documentation and accompanying paperwork to be described in the quote | Inspection, testing and other records confirmed individually; new-cylinder papers are not presumed |
| Price | Based on model, specification, sourcing and quantity | Also reflects verified condition, history and availability |
| Ordering | 10% booking advance after agreement | Same commercial booking process, subject to accepted quotation |

View details →Cylinder specification determines whether an available model meets the buyer's requirement
A suitable industrial gas cylinder cannot be selected by gas name alone. Capacity, pressure, construction, markings, valve connection, intended service, condition and documents have to describe the same proposed product. Where the buyer does not know a value, the requirement should be stated as unknown rather than guessed.
| Attribute | What the buyer should provide or verify |
|---|---|
| Intended gas service | Selected intended gas |
| Supply state | Empty cylinder hardware; this quotation does not include gas filling |
| Condition | New or used / previously owned |
| Manufacturer and exact model | Name and model identifier, if specified; verify on the particular offer |
| Water capacity / size | Required value and unit; request matching technical information |
| Working and test pressure | Rated values and records applicable to the offered cylinder |
| Cylinder construction / material | Confirmed model specification, including specialised construction if relevant |
| Body dimensions and tare weight | As relevant to storage, mounting and transport |
| Neck thread and valve outlet | Verify against the proposed valve and receiving equipment |
| Physical markings / serial | Identify the particular item or batch |
| Inspection / test history | Discuss what is available for the actual item |
| Quantity and destination | Number of cylinders, delivery city and state |
Actual values will depend on the proposed manufacturer's model or used item. A blank field is a question to resolve during sourcing, not permission to assume a standard specification.
Manufacturer, condition and quantity contribute to quotation pricing
Quotation rates are determined for the specific item and shipment. Similar gas types can involve different construction, model, valve and inspection requirements; even two offers using the same gas name may not be directly comparable.
- Manufacturer/model, origin and traceable item identity
- New/used condition and accompanying records
- Pressure, capacity, construction and included fittings
- Number of units, supply lead time and transport destination
Share the exact purchasing requirement; we will respond with the available options and a quotation where possible.
Request a quotationCylinder brands are verified against the actual model being offered
Buyers may request Indian or imported manufacturer options. Jay Consultant has named EKC, Rama and Saba among Indian manufacturers and JD and YA among imported options. Any brand, manufacturer identity, country of origin or authorised relationship must be checked against the particular quoted product; these names are not a live stock guarantee.
Brand names are reference points for buyer enquiries. Product pages should name a manufacturer only when the offered model is identified; no dealer status is implied by mentioning a brand.
Gas-cylinder applications require product-specific suitability checks
Industrial cutting, welding, shielding, process gas systems and other uses may lead buyers to search for a cylinder. Suitable hardware depends on the particular application, not merely on the gas name.
Oxygen service
Buyers may specify cylinders intended for oxygen service in cutting or fabrication systems; connections, markings and operating requirements need confirmation.
View details →Argon service
Argon is used in shielding-gas processes, including TIG welding; any proposed cylinder must match the gas service and fitting.
View details →Nitrogen service
Nitrogen is commonly used in purging and inerting contexts. Cylinder selection depends on the installation’s verified requirements.
View details →Carbon dioxide service
CO₂ can be used in certain shielding-gas applications. The cylinder and valve configuration must match the particular service.
View details →Dissolved acetylene (DA) service
DA cylinder enquiries may relate to oxy-fuel cutting and welding. Suitability depends on the exact dissolved-acetylene cylinder design.
View details →Cylinder valves and protective caps must match the selected hardware
Valves and caps are independent accessories. An accessory request must identify the cylinder neck and the required mechanical and service compatibility.
New cylinder valves
Valve type, connection and gas service need compatibility confirmation for each model.
View details →Cylinder safety caps
Cap dimensions and fitting must match the intended cylinder assembly.
View details →How do buyers request an India-wide industrial cylinder quotation?
Provide GSTIN, selected gas family, condition, capacity or model if known, quantity and delivery location. The requested information lets Jay Consultant compare possible sourcing offers.
Share the exact purchasing requirement; we will respond with the available options and a quotation where possible.
Request a quotationWhich documents should accompany a new or used cylinder offer?
For new hardware, ask what relevant BIS/PESO records come with the proposed cylinder. For used hardware, ask for available item-specific inspection and test records. Both should be checked against the model and markings offered.
Official Indian cylinder rules, standards and buyer verification resources
These are independent government or manufacturer references for checking requirements. A link does not mean Jay Consultant holds a licence, makes the goods, is an authorised agent or guarantees a specific item's certification. Rules and applicable standards depend on cylinder type, activity and current amendments.
